***REDACTED*** I didn't return them and ended up trying again. Don't judge them right away. They are stiff but soften and grow large with wear and body heat. Maybe consider going smaller because they will loosen up as they get softer. I left my original review so you can see my first impression if you have the same reaction. I like them a lot and mostly wear them instead of a real engagement ring. If you have 8.5, take 8 and not 9. I was glad to get them. My husband has been wearing silicone rings for 3 years now and he loves them. They don't look like the ones he had. The ones we've given rave reviews to. These are hard. The size was perfect. Fits just like my wedding ring. I have 8.5 to 9. I choose 9 because I like the extra space. They were the perfect size. The design shown in the photos is barely noticeable. It really looked like I had rubber bands on my fingers. Not cute at all. To return.
