Review on Imluckies Privacy Logitech Protects Protecting by Jeff Jackson

Cheaply made, can be great with a few tweaks

Aesthetically it looks great, almost like an official accessory, but it falls short on two aspects. Contrary to another reviewer who pointed out that they had the wrong camera model so the "clipping mechanism" didn't work on them, I have the exact model (C920) it's advertised for and it doesn't clip at all . Instead, it just slides loosely onto the top of your camera, so if you open the lid too far or at the wrong angle, the whole thing just falls off. Luckily, this can be easily fixed by attaching it with double sided tape, but you shouldn't do that. As some others have noted, the hinge mechanism has 180 degrees of rotation, but only has enough resistance to stay in place after opening about 135 degrees (75% of the way). This could easily be a 5 star product, especially for the price with the following changes: - Add a REAL clamping mechanism to hold the lid in place or add glue to the box. - Make a loop with a lot of resistance, or at least one that can stay open after opening 90 degrees.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
