Scenario - Replacing my old 2010 "stock" Toyota Sienna radio with a Pioneer AVH-200EX touchscreen head Benefits - Installing the new radio became a breeze ) wires. Of the few wires I had to splice, I used Tyco Electronics' Tap/Splice connectors to make the connections without ONE cut in the cable. Cons - No instructions to speak of. Just a bag, a pre-wired bundle of cables and a prayer. You still need to visually inspect the unconnected wiring harness that comes with the radio to match specific wires on the pre-wired harness and then connect them to the vehicle's electrical system. Despite the cons, I will do this with every future car. The pre-spliced and wiring harnesses fit perfectly and saved me almost an hour.
