Review on πŸ”§ Dorman Brake Pedal Pad (20744) for Acura/Honda Models - Enhanced SEO by Kevin Mitchell

Installation isn't easy, but with persistence and the right tools, you can do it.

This pedal cover was perfect for my 2001 4 cylinder Accord LX, but bro, it was hard to work with. In anticipation of this, I smeared the inside of the pad with petroleum jelly so that it gets onto the metal part of the brake pedal. I've had success, but here's a tip: apply a moderate coating of petroleum jelly to the pad's inner "slot" and then use a SMALL FLAT screwdriver to install it to the pedal. Since the cutout for the pedal is smaller than the pedal itself, you'll need to tighten it slowly and work on it until you have the last corner that can be lifted off the pedal. Took me about 20 minutes but this suction cup won't come off. Incidentally, the original pad on my pedal was completely worn out in one revolution and my foot slipped from the brake right onto the gas pedal! The old block also came off with little to no effort. Not good, so if yours needs replacing, do it today!
