Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I have the most basic version with 16 GB, radeon 5300 and 512 ssd, I consider the configuration for a mobile working device to be optimal today with a large margin. All possible bottlenecks in the future can be bypassed: if desired, the memory is expanded with an external nvme-ssd the size of a flash drive, which finally became available, video - using egpu. An i7 processor with 6 cores and 12 threads should last a long time. Of course, you can’t add operatives, the only minus of the configuration. But at the moment, 16 GB is quite comfortable, and 32 has to wait and costs horse money. As a result - a somewhat overestimated, but still unparalleled computer. A beautiful, light, powerful, perfect working tool that is always with you. Working for this is a pleasure. There are a lot of cheaper analogues for different tasks, but I have not seen such an integral device without obvious weaknesses.

Pros
  • Traditional for Apple laptops: - a reference screen that does not tire the eyes and does not glare in the sun. - battery - enough for an 8-hour working day with active work with the Internet, instant messengers, simple photo processing, multimedia (music, youtube). - form factor - a huge screen with a weight of only 2kg. and impressive power. - convenience in connecting peripherals (4 type-c ports are equivalent, you can connect charging, a monitor, an external drive, etc., adapters and peripherals with port support to any one). - in the latest versions of Mac os, the functionality of the touch bar has been significantly increased, now it is not just a wow toy, but a really facilitating, widely customizable working tool. - The Mac os operating system itself works great, is personalized (which is worth at least finely tuned shortcuts and scripts), synchronizes with other devices in the Apple ecosystem. Nothing hangs, does not fall off, does not present unpleasant surprises. This particular model compared to 15 2022-2022: - the new-old keyboard is noticeably softer, does not experience the problems that the "butterfly" had. Personally, I feel much more comfortable working on it. - wow performance. In rendering videos, on average, 3-5 times faster than the 2022 model. Pulls two 4k monitors without any brakes with dozens of open tabs, instant messengers, documents, spreadsheets. - improved cooling system. There is noise under load, but its frequency itself is lower than it was before, so it is not so infuriating. - super sound. Six speakers, both top and bottom are well heard, loud, clear, no mess. You can listen to music and watch movies without grimacing. - A separate touch ID and esc button is very convenient. Plus - this is the first poppy on which you can play quite comfortably. All current games in full hd at high settings calmly give out 60 frames (but you have to install Windows, in makosi the performance of toys is sad).
Cons
  • - Price. Quite trite, but for almost any task of this computer you can find an analogue cheaper (text - Macbook Air for 90k, games - a wide selection of laptops on Windows, starting from 60-70 thousand, video editing - the same Imac will come out cheaper, not to mention stationary PC). In connection with the fluctuations in the exchange rate and the deficit due to the massive transition to remote work, the already rather large price skyrocketed. - Noisy under load. The sound, although not as annoying as it used to be, is certainly there. - If you want to use it as a stationary with a closed lid, connecting two monitors, you should know that the sound in this format will be worse. And you'll hear fan rustling more often, especially if you connect two 4k displays and select the "looks like 2560x1440" or higher setting format. At the same time, the poppy does not slow down, but, judging by the fans, the temperatures are far from ideal. - Strange software issues: on the very first versions of macOS there were complaints about the "crunchy" sound of the speakers in silence (fixed since 102022.3). Now it infuriates that the computer in sleep mode can reboot (until it's fixed, turning off Power Nap helps). - Strange work of the system with RAM: "how much you give him, so much he will eat." I compare with comrades who overpaid for the version with 32 gigs.
