I have 5 4x20 blue filters filled with sediment and 3 activated carbon filters between the well and the yard. It helped, but not the cigars. The water still smelled. This reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink eliminates bad smells. We stopped buying water for coffee and cooking and only use this reverse osmosis water. I believe that at the level we bought water at, the payback will be just over a year (but not 2 years). I installed it fine. No leaks. But the instructions didn't quite match the system we bought and I had to do a bit of "guessing". Not bad, but it would be better to have a more detailed guide; albeit less bizarre. After installation it works perfectly.
