I have 5 4x20 blue filters filled with sediment and 3 activated carbon filters between the well and the yard. It helped, but not the cigars. The water still smelled. I want to give the product zero stars and the worst customer service a negative rating. The product has a serious design defect that could result in a fire hazard. Adapters and other leaking electrical parts are located under the water pipes. There was lysis from the UV tube and water ran to the adapter under which smoke started. After installing this kit I would like to say a few words. Number one: it works! Yes, but my unit came with defective o-rings in 2 out of 3 pre-filters. The system is generally fine when installed and drained and there are no leaks; However, the setup is quite a bit, but doable. It doesn't take long to drain as the instructions say, so that's a plus. Looking at the reviews on Nu Aqua's website, it appears that almost all of their systems come without the 2-quarter inch hose clamps. I have an iSpring 7 stage with booster and UV, better quality and materials. I bought this cheaper device for my downtown office. This reduced my TDS from 350 to 24. This sounds like a bad review at first but I'm pretty happy with the unit after re-gluing some leaking hardware. All I can say is that whatever you do, you must remove any factory installed threaded fittings, reseal them with the included Teflon tape, and reinstall before connecting to the plumbing.
