I've been using this product for reloading all the time. The caliper always returns to zero to verify calibration. I'm still on the original battery, just make sure to turn it off when not in use. The case is made of thin plastic. So if you put weight on it (which isn't a good idea), the device can turn on and drain the battery. The product arrived early and was very well packaged to avoid damage in transit. I am very happy with the whole experience.
