Review on 📸 Fujinon XF 50mm F1.0 R WR Lens by Chris Chincuanco

This lens is an absolutely beautiful combination of classic and modern lens design. Modern lens designs can be truly amazing for the resolution they can produce, but sometimes the resulting images just aren't as appealing as I would expect from a "portrait" lens. This lens can be sharp when closed, but wide open it's skin-friendly and conveys the world in a beautiful and nostalgic way - its look reminds me a lot of my old medium format lenses, which I'd like to say about my entire lens collection. I've always found digital images more detailed but less appealing than film images, and this lens brings to the digital world what I've been missing. Chromatic aberration is about average for fast primes in terms of quantity, but this lens handles the aberrations it has quite gracefully, even compared to my other premium Fuji lenses. This lens has rekindled my confidence in the Fuji X camera system and I can see myself taking more digital photos with this lens.
