With winter temperatures in the North East being quite cold, I needed a low tire pressure solution that wouldn't cause freezing when pumping up the tires at the local gas station. This small compressor saves a lot of time and eliminates possible frostbite. After unboxing the device, I was able to inflate the tires on my car in 10 minutes (4 tires requiring about 5 extra psi). The actual running time of the compressor was about 1.5 minutes on each bus. The devices are very easy to use. I have found that this increases additional pressure beyond what is set on the machine (probably to compensate for air losses when loosening the chuck). Given that the attached cartridge comes off fairly quickly, I'm not sure this was necessary. I appreciate the fact that this unit has both a 120V AC input and a 12V DC input. Since I inflated my tires in the garage (warmer than outside) I didn't want to 1) start the engine or 2) start the car in assist mode. It turned out that this device inflated the tires so quickly that I could use 12V DC without significantly draining the car battery. The device is quite light and has grooves on the bottom for storing the hose and cartridge. However, there is no storage for power cords on the unit, which is disappointing. Luckily, it comes with a pouch to store them in along with any extra adapters.
