The size of the newborn is excellent, something larger is licking.
Newborn LUVS was the only size I could use for my son, size 1+ wasn't as soft. I honestly think they pack the same amount of padding in the larger sizes as they do with newborns and just make the diaper itself bigger. I liked the newborn size, they were soft, thick, cheaper than other brands, but any bigger size won't hold urine.
