Great Product - Great Price!
We just received our SadoTech CROSSPOINT Expandable Wireless Doorbell, so this review is being written without knowing how well it will function over a period of time. We live in a townhouse community and have a screened-in, covered patio which is around the corner from our front door. It's the first thing that's seen when deliveries are made, so consequently, pizzas, UPS/ Fedex packages, etc. are often brought to our "back" door. So that we're aware when this happens, a remote, wireless, weatherproof doorbell seemed to fit the bill perfectly.Setup was quick and easy, right out of the box, and obviously, no wiring was necessary. Probably took fifteen minutes. The receivers (chimes) simply need to be plugged into an electrical outlet within 500 feet of the transmitter (button.) Ours is less than 100 feet. The volume is easily adjusted and can be heard without a problem throughout our townhouse. The second receiver is located upstairs. Syncing the transmitter with the receiver was a snap! Our only complaint is having to play through all of the ringtones before selecting one and then going back to find the one you want to use.The transmitter (button) is located outside our patio and not under cover, so it needed to be weatherproof. The IP44 rating is supposed to make it impervious to rain or other inclement weather, which is the primary reason we chose this particular model. Only time will tell if this is the case, so I'll have to update my review later. I attached it outside our patio gate (smooth surface) with the double-sided tape that was included. That gives me the flexibility to relocate it, if I need to, before attaching with the screws that were also provided.We're very happy with our purchase, so far. The expandability and flexibility of the system is great, if future changes need to be made, including the addition of transmitters, receivers and motion detectors or door/window sensors. The ability to take the system with you, should you need to move, is also a huge plus! The price was very reasonable, as well!
