Now I have two of them. They are ideal for using SATA hard drives from older computers, either to restore old data or to reformat and use as an additional backup. I always take discs out of all my computers before I throw them away, so I have a collection. I use one to permanently place a spare drive on my router and on the second I swap drives back and forth for information. No setup required - plug in the drive, screw it in, pop the cover back on, and plug it into your computer (and AC power). Then treat it like any external drive. So far I haven't had any problems. If you have old drives, this is a great solution to keep them running. All my drives are 3.5" so I have no idea if I should use 2.5".
