Review on Dorman 673 439 Integrated Catalytic Converter by Lance Levatte

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The screws and holes are terrible. Install manifold and lower catalytic converter.

Bought for my 97 Civic hatchback, the catalytic converter is in two parts. The screws and holes are terrible. To connect the manifold and the downstream catalytic converter together, there are 4 screws in the middle, the screws are bad, so screw them in slowly and align them perfectly, otherwise the screws will surely break. 02 gauges, gaskets all fit perfectly so no problem. The alignment and fit on my civilian car was like stock, less than 20 minutes to fit the catalytic converter. I bonded the two halves together before installing the block on my civilian. You can move the hole block from bottom to top after removing the old block from the car. These studs are beautiful. Fits like stock. I live in California, the smog passed without any problems. The cat comes with a license plate as shown in the picture. My friend was able to run the number and it was listed on the last page of the website they use to check. The only complaint is the screws, they suck. I had to unscrew and unscrew to re-cut the connecting parts. It was a waste of time. If Dorman had used the right screws, they wouldn't have had as many complaints. I passed and am happy. But because the screw was so cheap I can't give 5 stars. Be careful!
