I have a microphone connected to my Macbook via USB. This is ideal for being able to connect a microphone and other external devices. What I like: - The quality is good and it works right out of the box. - My microphone connects instantly while my laptop doesn't always recognize it immediately with some other adapters. — I can connect an external monitor at the same time as USB devices. What I don't like: - It has some serious limitations that make it look more like a glorified adapter. I have another hub brand that is much better. The reason it's not as good as my other brand is that it requires a computer cable to power it. There is no power cord included! It does not work stably with my power cord. So the only way I can use it constantly is when it's plugged into a Lightning port and my laptop's power cord connects to my laptop through a different Lightning port. It's not ideal at all. The device is powered by the computer with the above setting. Once again. Not ideal. Overall it's useful for my recording setup, but I don't take full advantage of it since I don't have my own power cord. I expected more from Belkin!
