Review on PHEMI Health DataLab by Chris Anderson

Phemi has been instrumental in developing our ability to use real time clinical EMRs as well as other sources (eg Lab) for population health analytics across several different projects at my current employer since 2015 or so. They also have great customer service which makes working through any issues much more efficient! There are some downsides around integration into various products - especially Epic / Cerner but there's nothing I can think about offhand because they get it right every single one we've used them against over 5+ years now. Great team who listens closely when you explain what your needs really are. If those need aren't met perfectly then don;t hesitate asking if something doesn’t work exactly like its described online. We're using their Population Analytics product along with an SAS R package called phemeRkit internally within EPIC Healthcare Systems & Services LLC where i am currently employed. I like how easy it is to use the software and how much information you can get out of it. It's not as user friendly as other software but if you know what you're doing, it's very useful. You can't easily export your data so you have to be careful in which way you use the software. If you want to be able to easily share your data with others and keep track of everything, this is a good choice. We are trying to create a better patient experience for our patients. This software has helped us do that.
