Sharpens well, looks good, great product

Hi folks, long story short I've used this sharpener to sharpen several knives and scissors and it works great. I had a knife that was already sharp and didn't need a new blade. I put it through this sharpener a few times and was really amazed that it was even sharper than before. This really encouraged me to start sharpening the rest of my knives. However, I have not put my knives through several other sharpeners. I have a wet stone and a chef's knife sharpener, but I've never learned how to use them properly. I don't have very expensive knives either. So taking a chance and trying an easier way to sharpen knives made sense to me, and I didn't worry if it didn't work. But it worked, so that's a plus! Aesthetically, this little sharpener is really nice and subtle. The metal doesn't get smudged with fingerprints and the whole unit is a comfortable weight. It doesn't feel or look like cheap kitchen utensils. Fits easily in a drawer or cupboard, doesn't require electricity and overall I'm glad it's easy to sharpen in the kitchen. I especially like that it can help with sharpening scissors. For some reason my family also uses a lot of scissors (my mom loves making handmade cards and scissors are used all the time) so it was really nice to have something to sharpen them. There's no real way to know exactly how much force must be pressed on the knife when you draw it. The knife sharpener comes with good detailed instructions, but the word "soft" is a bit subjective. So I tried to find what I felt was a good weight to pull the knife through. After a while I'll try to post a video so people can get an idea of what it looks like and how it works. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope this can help some of you with your decision. In short, works well, looks good, seems to last a long time. Worth a try. And finally, one last note, Foodville's customer service has been amazing for me on my recent orders. At the highest level and ready to discuss all your questions. Happy sharpening!
