Received this to try and improve the signal from a distant AM station. It worked great for amplifying FM radio signals, but after installing it I couldn't tune into AM radio signals. I really like how much better the FM stations sound, so I'll leave it at that. Installation was easy. Unplug the radio, disconnect the antenna, connect the antenna cable to this and that to the radio and use the tap to connect the power from the switched power supply in the radio's wiring harness. You don't want to be plugged into a permanent power source as that could potentially drain the battery if parked for a long time.
