Nothing gets better, if anything, it gets worse.

Is installed in the car and does NOT improve transmitter reception. I'm getting reception, but it was very weak. I figured maybe my stock stereo was broken so I bought a new Sony HU and installed it, but the stations sounded the same even while driving. After I installed this antenna booster, the reception seems to have gotten worse.

Not working as advertised

Item shipped quickly, eastbound for fitment. That's all. I read most of the reviews and as many have described I didn't realize they help with AM reception (why I bought it). This made FM reception clearer. IT blocked AM completely. Why bother with AM, you might say - well, there are fewer and fewer good stations on AM. However, it was announced to do something and it failed.

Received this to try and improve the signal from a distant AM station. It worked great for amplifying FM radio signals, but after installing it I couldn't tune into AM radio signals. I really like how much better the FM stations sound, so I'll leave it at that. Installation was easy. Unplug the radio, disconnect the antenna, connect the antenna wire to this and that on the radio and use the tap to connect power from the switched power supply in the radio wiring harness. You don't want to be…

Helps a little - Antennas

I bought this in the hope that I could add a few more HD transmitters to my Kenwood main unit which supports HD radio. The point is, does it work? Yes. Did it make a big difference, no. I went from zero HD stations while sitting in my driveway to two. Unfortunately, these weren't the two I was hoping for. As for improvements to analog FM transmitters. Yes, it helps a little. Medium stations had almost no static electricity, and weak static stations had less static electricity. The strong…

Mine didn't work - essentially a black box with a red LED.

I'm not sure if I received a defective device or not. I installed the amp correctly, the power light came on etc, but this did not noticeably affect FM signal reception. Period. I ended up pulling the fuse, unplugging the car antenna cable from it (there is no continuity at all), reconnecting the car antenna cable to the radio and dumping the amp behind the dash as I had already neatly integrated the amp's power cables into the existing wiring harness. From the tip of the car antenna to the…

Rating 5 for VHF; below zero for AM

Contrary to the description, this product does not pass AM. After installation all the AM stations I had were gone and replaced with static ones so you must have AM, think of something else. As an FM amplifier, this product is sensational. Installed on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK with an external rod antenna and a stock radio, this product turned constant dips and hiss into an audible signal and significantly increased range. It also has an LED to show it's on. Obviously this isn't…
