I'm not sure if I received a defective device or not. I installed the amp correctly, the power light came on etc, but this did not noticeably affect FM signal reception. Period. I ended up pulling the fuse, unplugging the car antenna cable from it (there is no continuity at all), reconnecting the car antenna cable to the radio and dumping the amp behind the dash as I had already neatly integrated the amp's power cables into the existing wiring harness. From the tip of the car antenna to the button on the car radio, everything is brand new. A big regret and also a big disappointment as I spent a lot of time and effort installing this gadget carefully and neatly - all for nothing. If you want to try this product, do the minimal installation work to power up and plug in the unit to see if you have luck before spending a lot of time installing it in the shop.
