Contrary to the description, this product does not pass AM. After installation all the AM stations I had were gone and replaced with static ones so you must have AM, think of something else. As an FM amplifier, this product is sensational. Installed on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK with an external rod antenna and a stock radio, this product turned constant dips and hiss into an audible signal and significantly increased range. It also has an LED to show it's on. Obviously this isn't visible after installation, but is useful during setup. It's been a while since I worked with car stereos when a Motorola connector was the standard antenna connection. That's what this product has and I had to buy adapters to line it up with an unknown socket on the Jeep radio and antenna, but other than that the installation was smooth (as smooth as running in a modern car dashboard). Highly recommended for FM, assuming you never need AM. Be sure to check if you need plug adapters and buy these if your radio doesn't have a Motorola plug. Update January 2021: We've recently started experiencing radio dropouts and I suspected it might be related to this amp. I bought and installed a Bingfu amp with Fakra connectors, thinking that this might solve the problem and simplify the installation anyway by removing the Motorola Fakra connectors. Unfortunately, this exchange revealed two things: 1.) the problem was not with the amplifier, but with the radio; and 2.) The original amp is still sensational for FM with the Bingfu replacement even coming close! Since I have to disassemble the dash again to fix the radio, I'm going to put a new version of the original amp back in to see if they have an improved AM.
