made the mistake of taking my car to the mechanic when it wasn't working as it should. I've been told I need a new head gasket and I may have a cracked block due to differential compression in all cylinders. while saving for a new engine, i decided to educate myself. I have found that wrong time can also cause compression issues. When I couldn't get the timing it was decided to check the timing chain and that's when we noticed there was more than an inch of slack and most of the teeth were broken due to the constant time jump. Everyone I show the pictures to is amazed that my truck survived without bending or breaking anything in the engine.
