Update #2: NO RESPONSE FROM TREND Totally ignored by TREND customer service via their website. I sent them two emails with no reply. TREND GETS NEGATIVE STARS FROM THIS CUSTOMER...OR CAN YOU SAY SUCK? Update: I contacted TREND via their website 2 weeks ago and still have NOT received a reply. Today is attempt #2. This is my second cymbal sent to replace the first defective cymbal which I received in February 2021. Customer service was good and a replacement was shipped promptly (March 2021) but that's where my positive comments should end. It is now early May 2021 and I am absolutely disappointed. I was struggling to spend over $100 for a single plate and when the price dropped I decided to give it a try. Now I'm not a very proud owner of a broken #2 disk. The diamonds are separated from this plate just like the first time. Multiple lines (no diamonds on the surface) have formed on a 1000 grit surface that is either not flat or there is a problem with the diamond bonding process. I got MUCH more durability from a $20 record I bought a while back. This is definitely not a case of "you get what you pay for" as for the price I could buy a few tablets and throw them away when they turn themselves off. Assuming it's not a counterfeit product, the TREND name no longer gives me any credibility. Now that I'm about 15 days past my return deadline, we'll see if and how much resistance I get when I request a refund under Trends' 5-year guarantee. I'll be happy to update this review again when I hear about it. I would also like to add that my original review, which included photos of the first record, was rejected for unclear reasons. UPDATE #3: NO response from TREND to my inquiry regarding the advertised 5 year warranty.
