I had a smaller version of this French Press for several years and really liked it. A few months ago I bought the larger version and gifted the smaller one to a friend who has been wanting the same thing for a long time. However, I think it's poorly done. I noticed that it got a little warmer outside during the first week, which wasn't supposed to be the case. But I didn't return immediately. The problem gradually worsens to the point where it is very hot outside and the coffee inside quickly gets cold. I have young children so I'm considering getting a different brand so they don't accidentally touch it while it's hot. I probably should have paid for a more expensive start. It's hand wash and I took good care of it. So I don't think I somehow broke the double seal. This is a great French press when it works.
