I bought these in January 2020 - you can stretch up to 12mm with just this set (without buying 7, 9, 11 cones) by you use the supplied silicone tunnels. Tips/plugs are made of plastic. But for 10β¬ I think it's very good! My kit has arrived completely. Everything is in separate bags. size marked. No missing parts, no missing dimensions, no missing o-rings. And it came in a nice zipped hard case. A warm shower and stretch balm (I use GaugeGear) can help "relax" the earlobe. In this set in particular, the smaller sizes increase by about 1mm each time. 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, excellent and good. but then 8mm, 10mm, 12mm. This may be the standard for kits like this, but stretching 2mm at a time isn't necessary on these smaller sizes and opens the door for tears and constraints, tears and infection. When I first stretched my ears many years ago, I PULLED my ears out. without worrying about tears, tears, pain. stupid ha. This time I bought the 7mm, 9mm and 11mm cones separately. I personally recommend one of two methods. 1-Taper: Apply stretch balm to the earlobe and a little to the cone. COMPLETELY seat the cone. I'll turn around A LITTLE if he doesn't come right in. (Also I would recommend advancing 1mm at a time, it's just easier to fully insert the cone.) You're stretching your earlobe, you can feel it. . Leave the Kegel on until the lobe pain subsides, maybe a week. Then insert an appropriately sized plug for about another week, until the flap has sufficiently healed. After that you are ready for the next size. Repeat the process. OR 2 silicone tunnels: (virtually painless stretching) I fold it in half/thirds to insert. It may not open fully at first. But over time it must stretch the lobe as it fully opens. Give it a little shake and encouragement from time to time, and one morning it will just open to its full size. **You cannot use smaller silicone tunnels as they will not fit. But once you get the size that works for you, you may prefer this method to Kegels. ** I also recommend patience. If you tear your ear severely by trying to stretch it too quickly, it can become infected. Even if it doesn't become infected, if the tear is really bad, it will be the weak point for all future sprains. It's best to let it heal completely before proceeding, which will prolong the process in the long run. I would say that over time most people develop their own preferred methods.
