Great product makes great coffee

This is a great product that is very easy to use and makes great coffee. I swear the same coffee tastes better when made with this one. I simply add 4-6 tablespoons of ground coffee (like my strong) to a glass, fill to the bottom with near-boiling water, wait about a minute, then squeeze. Water in a glass can be heated in the microwave. but I just warm it up in a glass measuring cup. By the way, a glass holds about 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces). I'm in the anti-stir camp to avoid accidentally getting sediment into my drink, but those who prefer cream or sweeteners can stir them before squeezing, preferably with silicone implements (see below). Coffee can be drunk immediately, but stays hot much longer than in a coffee cup or mug. The whole assembly looks very cool too. If you have more than one coffee maker in your home, I would recommend buying more than one so you don't have to disassemble the press unit for cleaning after each use. I only wash mine very thoroughly with hot water and only take them apart once a week for a more thorough cleaning. If I had to share it with someone, I would feel compelled to do a more thorough cleaning every time. I use a thin and flexible silicone spatula to empty the coffee grounds into the bin. It is not recommended to use metal utensils for this purpose as they can break the inner glass. A word of caution: very finely ground coffees such as those sold for pump espresso machines should not be used with this machine as the filter will quickly clog.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
