As an electrician, I know that some 3 inch lights can be very bright. However, these lights weren't that bright. I had six of these in a 10 x 12 foot office and it wasn't enough to light more of the simply luxurious ones. In the end I had to put the lamp in the middle of the room so that it really was the main light source. If you are using it to illuminate a room larger than a closet, then this is the wrong lamp. But if you only use them for display cases or showcase wood, I think that's great.
