The design of this filter canister is a huge improvement over a well known brand that we have been using for several years which never had a tight lid on it. The lid fits perfectly, easy to fill, clean, change cartridge and fill. But that's where the positives end! View images showing the PPM readings of our filtered well water from both jugs: [old jug: 001 / this jug: 081]. Obviously the [Filter] cartridge that comes with this jug does not filter! If that's not so bad, try looking for replacement cartridges/filters! I really wanted to like this pitcher, but between a cartridge that doesn't filter and is harder to find than dinosaur eggs, this is nothing short of a glorified tea pitcher. I do not recommend.
