Review on Get Your Kids Riding With JOYSTAR'S Lightweight Balance Bikes For 2-6 Year Olds - With Footrest And Handlebar Pads! by Jeff Talcott

Similar to Strider Classic balance bike, but w/ 14in wheels

This is just like Strider's Classic balance bike model, but with 14 in wheels. There's an excellent article on Wirecutter's website regarding balance bike. We bought the Strider Classice for our 2-year, but he's HUGE and quickly outgrew. Strider makes a 14in balance bike, but it comes with a pedal conversion kit, so it's pretty pricey and was outside our budget. I looked and looked and searched for a 14in balance bike that was under $100 and there are none other than this one from Joystar. Not only is this affordable, but it has some of the same design features that make the namebrand Strider so popular. It is very lightweight, making it easy for a little one to pick up on their own. The bar connecting the front and back part of the bikes angles down (like girl bikes typically do, only lower), making it MUCH EASIER for the little guy to step over/straddle it. There's also built in foot rests on the bars leading back to the back axle. Overall, very pleased with this.

Pros
  • Rewarding and fun
Cons
  • May not be as intuitive for children to use as other balance bike options
