Bought this at my local pet store for half a pound. The only difference is that my macaw completely avoids round oranges in this feed, although he always liked them before. It's the same food, so it's weird that he doesn't like her in this meal. Unfortunately, there are more round oranges than any other, but I think I've saved enough money to waste them. My chickens get them so it's not totally wasted, just expensive chicken feed! I put all the food in the freezer on a 24 hour cycle to prevent the bug eggs from hatching. This NIT is intended to disparage either this brand or the seller - ALL grain-based products are allowed in % insect content, and pet food is usually even more allowed. When your food comes with weevils, they usually hatch out of it instead of invading it. (I do this with all grain based products that I buy in bulk and keep for a while. I recommend everyone do this. I just pour into a smaller container and do several 24 hour cycles, empty the treated container, refill it and start a new cycle. Sounds like flatbread, but not so much the loss of food to pests and the need to clean and destroy them.
