I bought a newer post mount disc brake to fit my bike not knowing there are two different types of brackets. This adapter is ideal for mounting a tripod on an IS-Yoke. It is very easy to install. I was concerned about the wide mounting holes, which allow plenty of leeway to adjust brake placement, but I was able to install and adjust them properly the first time.
