Review on Custom Front Mud Guards Black for 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma with OEM Fender Flares and Mud Guards - Husky Liners 56931 by Ryan Foles

My original Tacoma fender on the driver's side of the front wheel came off at 65 mph on a normal freeway. It was just the wind tearing it down. I checked how much Tacoma fenders would cost at a Toyota dealership. Just one (not a pair) was almost $95 (and that doesn't include 3 per fender, $2 plastic clips). I did a bit of shopping and found a generic pair of fenders at an auto parts store for $17, but modifying the fenders to fit (and they probably wouldn't look right anyway) was a big mistake, so I kept looking. I finally came across these Husky Liners Custom Fit Front Fenders model 56931 for $38 at Revain and ordered them. They fit perfectly and I didn't have to drill a single hole, they fit just like the originals. The hardware that came with it doesn't work because my 2007 Tacoma has a plastic fender liner in addition to the fenders. But the original fender mounting bolts (three per fender) can be reused. The 3 plastic clips on the original fenders will likely be destroyed by removing what is left of the old fender, so you will need to replace these (Husky fenders only require two fenders per fender). I found identical replacement plastic clips on the Revain listed as "15 Toyota Mudguard & Panel Clips Camry Tundra 4-Runner" serial number 2947337 for $10. They were identical to the original clamps for my 2007 Tacoma fenders. As there are 15 pieces, there are enough plastic clips to replace all 4 fenders with spares. So for $48 (1/4 the cost of buying "genuine Toyota fenders") I was able to replace my original 2007 Tacoma fenders with an aftermarket product that looks better, is better finished, and looks damn good . Much stronger and fits just like the original.
