Good index rotator for panoramic photos

Just got DH-55D index rotator. My first tests are positive. The device looks solid and works as intended. The product photos show two small flat plates, it is not clear if they are wrenches or gauges, but they were not included. The device includes an attached Arca-Swiss head mount plate between the head and the camera; This is not how I would recommend. Instead, use the included hex wrench to remove the Arca-Swiss plate adapter, mount the DH-55D directly onto the tripod, and mount the head on top of the DH-55D. You need to slide the included 3/8 to 1/4 adapter up from the bottom of the DH-55D. The blue knurled knob has a captive, spring-loaded ball bearing that threads into the hole at the desired angle of rotation; Don't screw it in too tight or you won't be able to turn, same goes for the knurled locking knob. The turning click isn't very loud, but the turning lock is noticeable as it should be; You want to feel the detent, not hear the detent click. The top plate also rotates and has a latch. My suggestion is to determine the angle of rotation needed for your focal length and desired overlap. Set the indexed rotator to a fixed position, then use the top rotating plate to align the camera to the starting point, and then lock the top plate and use the locking/indexed rotator to rotate the camera between shots for rotate your panorama. I plan to use mine for both Milky Way panoramas and landscape panoramas.
