Nice little module among household sensors and alarms

I added a Honeywell Lyric thermostat, C2 chamber and just added one of these. A few things to note: 1. Honeywell has changed the name of the Lyric App platform to Honeywell Home. The text is no more. (it's just a name) 2. As far as I can tell the latest app update added a security feature so items on your system can't be scanned by someone with a bluetooth device (phone, tablet) to see , what they have . What does that mean? I found that you MUST TURN OFF the Bluetooth device to add any device to your setup. Disclaimer: I use Android devices. Apple my mileage varies. After disabling Bluetooth, add a new device from the app. The app will tell you that Bluetooth is disabled on your phone. This gives you the option to navigate to the settings within the app. You need to go to settings through the app. If you only change the Windows settings, the new sensor will not be found. So use the app to go to settings and then turn on Bluetooth.3. The first two times I tried to install this device it told me my router password was wrong, but the third time it worked, so keep trying. The bottom line is that Honeywell Home seems fine with security but doesn't have updated documentation. Customer service is located in the States and offers excellent service.

Pros
  • Notification includes mobile and sound notifications - Messages can notify you or your family/friends wherever you are and sound notifications sound when you are home
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
