Review on SureFlap Microchip Cat Door White by Victoria Turner

I want to give this product five stars - it was certainly amazing while it worked but ours is no longer in service and the customer service was NOT good. We bought our device in April 2015. At the beginning of 2017, when our cats entered the "tunnel", the flap lock would no longer open. We glued the latch in as a temporary fix and filled out the SureFlap Troubleshooting Questionnaire. The survey revealed that the recording camera needs to be replaced and they will send to us. It was March 3, 2017. On March 24, 2017, after not hearing or receiving anything, we sent an email requesting an update. On March 28th, Amal (in the UK?) asked us if we got the part. On March 30th we said no, nothing came. On March 31st he replied and copied "Natalie in the USA" to resend the camera trap to us. And that's the last we heard from anyone. Natalie never replied to Amal's email and we have not received anything. We'd happily pay for a replacement part, but the hell someone's gotta get in touch and/or ship the damn thing. Our gate is still tape sealed to allow any animal in the area to enter if they wish. With that functionality, we could just get a regular cat door for $15 instead of the $115 we paid in 2015. ETA: Before it completely stopped working, it burned out new batteries in two to three weeks for several months. We did a good job cleaning the outside next to the gauges and things got a little better and then it got awful again. If this happens to you now, you may be in for a crash.
