I bought two other brands of dog flaps, both large, the largest of the two was only 15 1/5 inches. This one is much more. My dog can actually walk through it. And it was cheaper. It was easy to install. Make sure you have a hacksaw blade that will go through, otherwise you will have to cut one side and then flip and cut the other side like I did. If you have a steel door, be sure to go around any edges you trimmed and sand down any burrs. You'll get better and you won't cut yourself. Be sure to tighten all the screws, and then tighten each one a little until they are secure, but don't over tighten or you'll damage the holes. When you have tightened all of the other screws, put a drop of superglue in the screw hole and screw the screw in to cover the threads, and clamp or hold until it becomes snug. I live in Oklahoma so we get high winds. When the wind reaches 30+, it opens. Besides, I love it.
