Review on πŸ”΄ SRAM G2 Guide/Trail Sintered Disc Brake Pads with Steel Backer - Enhanced for SEO by Mark Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It took a long time to convince them not to creak.

After lapping and adjusting the caliper they still squeaked. Used Emory cloth on the rotors and pads, wiped it down with rubbing alcohol (drank the rest) and that seemed to help. The bike shop mechanic at the race said the SRAM Guide R has a recall and that cleaning with the original Windex (nothing else as non-brands may have different chemicals) can also be done after treating with an Emory cloth. After all that, the brakes worked great in the downhill park. I'm not a very experienced biker so I can't judge the brakes as well as others, but they work well for me.

Pros
  • Steel frame gives your bike a new level of stopping power
Cons
  • Damaged
