Review on 🖍️ Cretacolor Monolith Graphite Pencil Tin Box Set - 11-Piece Multicolor Collection by Angela Rodriguez

I love to draw with pencil and this is an exceptional set that anyone who loves to draw will appreciate. A convenient and portable way to carry multiple pens of different quality. However, there is much more to appreciate in this set than the case itself (which is beautiful). You will get 7 different pencils: HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B, 9,B, 4B water soluble, eraser, metal pencil sharpener, pencil stand and extension tip. I've noticed a few things that don't affect my personal assessment of this set (but may affect yours): The HB pencil is too narrow to be used with the included pencil. Retainer, even if you attach it to the extension tip first (the slider ring should hold the clasp tightly around the pin, but it doesn't even come close). It's ok since you wouldn't use a holder or extender with a brand new pen, but the benefit of these tools is that you can use every last bit of your favorite pens. But other pens fit fine, and if you're like me you'll probably never use an extension cord anyway (I just don't like it when something doesn't quite work in my set, and when I take it out, I have an empty space that looks at me and brings out my inner obsessive-compulsive disorder :D). A kneaded eraser is a kneaded eraser. I think they're rubbish, but it's still handy to pick up unwanted graphite highlights off the paper when drawing with one of the softer pens. Using a blunt or tortillon for pen work is also good if you want to scrape excess graphite off the tip. I love the nice dark, bold lines I get with softer pencils and that I take full advantage of them. a tip to create more depth in my lines since there is no wood in the way. The HB pen is great for drawing sharp lines when you're sketching and not ready to bold or write. I haven't tried the water-soluble pen yet, but I'll definitely try it over time. The plastic liner in this jar is a little cheap (as another reviewer mentioned, one of my pencils already came through the plastic), but the body itself is solid and neat. Although these are woodless pencils, they are lightly varnished on the outside to prevent fingers from chafing on the graphite. Interestingly, I noticed that my 6B pen is the only one that says "WHSmith Pure Graphite" instead of "CretaCOLOR Monolith". I'm wondering if it's the same company or if they will change this product in the near future? I hope they never get rid of this set because if I ever lose mine I will definitely want to buy a spare - love the carrying case so much :). A wonderful gift that I highly recommend!
