Review on 🔋 Xantrex 818-3010 Inv/Chgr Freedom XC PRO: Powerful 3000W 12V 150A Solution by Kevin Johnson

Aloha, I have a 3500 sq.m. apartment totally independent. Feet on the Big Island of Hawaii. I've been using a Xantrex TR1512 120 60 charging inverter for 11 years, also it's a bit small for my power needs. The only maintenance I've ever done was cleaning the dust off the fan vents. Unfortunately he eventually died. So a few weeks ago I bought a Xantrex 818-3010 InvChgr, Freedom XC PRO, 3000W 12V 150A (same day my other Xantrex died) which I ordered on a Tuesday evening and to my surprise it was delivered on Saturday morning. I was not disappointed. I installed it within 30 minutes of opening the box as the installation was pretty much the same as mine. old Xantrex. The first thing I noticed is that it weighs a little less than older versions and is easier to assemble. It is not recommended to pull the wires. My batteries are within 3 feet of the inverter and generator. The house is 60 feet away. I pressed the power button and voila. Meal. It was everything I expected from the Xantrex and better yet, there is no more hum that I could get from the inverter and through the TV. Flawless transition from generator power to inverter power. At peak load yes. 3 laptops, 3 TVs, router and modem, full size fridge, 2 fans, lights etc. When the generator is off nothing goes out or bothers, the lights aren't even dim or flickering. Now it covers all my electricity needs. The onboard charger works like a champ, I use 12 6v batteries and it charges quickly and efficiently. It charges my system less than twice as fast as my old Xatrex imo. The fans are a bit noisy when charging, but that's a very small price to pay and I know they keep the inverter nice and cool while charging. I am currently using a three pin 30 amp outlet from my alternator and it works great for charging. ng, but sometimes he pulls out the circuit in the socket. I will switch to a 50 amp outlet as soon as possible. Just need a fork. :) What else can I say. Xantrex Quality Power.Backup and Labor.Mahaols.Alohas.
