Review on ⏲️ GoodCook Digital Touch Timer by Katie Chambers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost the best in the kitchen and dining room

The magnet just isn't strong enough to spin with one hand, but if you press the timer while spinning it it will grab a large enough surface to turn with one hand. So I didn't deduct any points for it. (In addition to the magnet, the back has a rubberized area, nice design. However, the magnet needs to be twice as strong; I hate when manufacturers skimp on essential features to save 5 cents.) It suddenly fell shut in the first week bottom - the GLUE holding the magnet in place just came loose! So I took the magnet out of the fridge, glued it back in place with gorilla glue, soiled the surface a bit so it wouldn't hold the fridge (sigh!), and now everything is fine. Considering I have half a dozen mechanical magnetic timers in search of a durable one, this one is still looking good so far as it has survived being dropped on a hard floor. But certainly not outstanding.

Pros
  • Magnetic base
Cons
  • No insurance
