Review on Humminbird 7000301 HHGPS Connection Cable by Vanessa Knipp

Used to connect My Humminbird 597ci HD Di to Uniden UM435BK VHF Radio. So if you have this combo, connect the white Humminbird wire to the yellow Uniden wire and the black Humminbird wire to the green Uniden wire. This will give you the GPS information displayed on your Uniden VHF radio which you can use to call a GPS distress call, DSC and all that. I'm sure if someone else made a distress call it would show up on my fish finder. I ended up pairing Humminbird Black with Uniden Brown and Green. From Humminbird White to Uniden Yellow and from Uniden White to Humminbird Green. I have no idea if this works, I don't know how to test it. But GPS "transmits" on VHF (white hummingbird on yellow VHF) stays the same, as does GPS Ground on VHF "NMEA IN (-)" all I have VHF White (NEMA out (+)) to GPS Green ( NEMA IN) and VHF Brown (NEMA out (-)) to GPS Black (ground). If you think this is all confusing, try reading both. Instructions, call both companies and wait 40 minutes each what I was doing so they didn't know what I was talking about and were rude to me. Then you will see how wonderful the instructions above are haha. Hope this helps someone.
