I used to work as a barista but it has been 18 years since my last job in a coffee shop. I had high hopes for this car when I received it and it did not disappoint! The burr grinder ensures an even degree of grinding with very precise step-by-step adjustment. The grinder has a spotlight that makes it easy to see the portafilter as it fills with ground coffee. The steam nozzle can deliver either hot water or steam. The vaping process has a delay as the pressure builds up, but once activated there is plenty of pressure. The supplied metal jug is rather small. That's enough for a one-serving cappuccino or latte, but when frothed, the froth rises fairly densely to the top. The machine comes with single and double portafilter baskets. They are held in place by an internal spring and are easy to change. The tamper is short and easy to use. Single and double espresso buttons are available, as well as a manual button for easy operation. The instruction manual is very informative and a good guide to the car. It introduces the owner to the espresso preparation process, showing the nuances of how grind, pressure and pouring time affect the taste of espresso. This machine is perfect for the seasoned coffee lover or the novice barista! I highly recommend this car!
