Review on ๐ŸŽง Corsair HS45-7.1 Virtual Surround Sound Gaming Headset with USB DAC - Discord Certified for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch - Carbon by Dustin Miller

Decent sound, weak materials.

I purchased my pair in May 2020 and with normal use in August I developed a second significant tear at the top of the strap. Because of this, the headphones no longer hold my head and isolate from outside noise, nor do they fit my ears very well. Absolutely new, in general everything was "good": fit well, the materials are pleasant to the touch, the microphone works, the sound was not outstanding, but. Big. For a budget headset, they were "normal". You did your job. I wear headphones when I work and play to focus on what I'm doing which means I've been wearing them constantly for the past 3 months. Even a significantly cheaper headset with slightly worse sound quality that I bought over a year ago didn't crack or become brittle like my Corsair headset. My wife bought the same earbuds about a month after me and had issues with the sound quality right from the start. They are simply not recommended as more than a temporary solution: if you need headphones with a decent sound. , they can work for a while, but they tend to crack with use and don't deliver high enough sound quality to make it worth buying in the long run. I'd recommend buying a cheaper headset if you absolutely need it now on a budget, grunt for a solid headset with sound, and save up for something like a HyperX cloud phone or something else of high quality. They won't do it long enough to justify the asking price.
