To be honest when I first saw this device I didn't know what to do with it. Bubble for toilets? Then I did a little research, figured out how it works and what its purpose is, which made sense, so I decided to give it a try. Well I've been using it for about a week now and I can say with confidence that it really works! It creates a foam layer very evenly and significantly reduces spatter. Since I've been using it, there hasn't been any spatter of feces on the underside of the toilet seat at all. I wasn't sure I could trust the self-adhesive hooks to hang it on the wall or toilet tank, so I mounted the unit on the toilet tank and attached one of the hooks to the wall to keep it from tipping over. So far this works very well and makes it easy to use, the "on" button is easy to reach. The first time I put the nozzle on the edge of the toilet, cleaned and dried it, but the nozzle didn't stick. The second time I tried it I rubbed the area with rubbing alcohol then dried it and it worked great. So learn from my mistake and clean it with alcohol first. As we said, this device forms a very dense layer of foam, and if you leave it for a few more seconds, it will spread over almost the entire surface. the entire water surface. If you really need a thick layer of foam, just press the button again. I use the popular Blue brand dishwashing liquid and am happy with the results. You can also play around with the detergent percentage if you're not getting a satisfactory lather. I actually typed in a bit more than the instructions originally suggested and it seems to be working better. All in all I find it a very useful and well made device and will continue to use it.
