Ordered to adapt Empire Paintball 24 oz CO2 tank to aquarium with CO2 regulator Stainless steel miniature gauge with two sensors Bubble counter and check valve with 110V solenoid Fits US standard tanks - LP150 PSI - HP2000 PSI Accurate & Easy to set up. Comes with tools. There is a small hole on the side of this "adapter" that will never be closed as it is at the end of a female thread. When the paintball canister is fully screwed in, CO2 will exit the canister through the hole. I tried an O-ring, then a homemade flat ring made from a thin layer of silicone rubber. The o-ring was too thick and the canister didn't go deep enough to depress the trigger pin. The flat ring did not stop the leak. I'm not exactly sure why they claim it will work. I will try filling this hole with epoxy and drilling a new one further down the threads where it will be sealed and also using teflon tape to seal the threads. Based on my experience, I expect to be in the ER before this has happened. Edit Next day: OK. I'm a little cold. I sealed the drain hole in the adapter. After that, the remaining small leak at both ends of the adapter was sealed with Teflon sealing tape. Everything seems fine. I cannot advise you to change this yourself due to the obvious liability issues. High pressure pneumatics can be very dangerous. The hole I plugged up (I think) is there to release the back pressure from the system while you unscrew the tank from the adapter (to fill it, for example). The pressure must be released before the screw reaches the end of the thread, otherwise this pressure can cause too much separation (bone fracture). Be careful but note that the adapter I was provided is NOT compatible (as is) with the Empire tank. WELL?
