It works as advertised and has a much better design.

I have a StarShoot Deep Space camcorder (not II but the original) and the video capture device that came with the camera had weak spots where it connected to the video cable. When it broke I actually bought the 52181 unit and have never looked back. It works as advertised and has a much better design.
