I've wanted an extra screen for a while and I'm seeing the price stabilize at the 15.6-inch bezel size and features. When I found the Usparkle Dual USB-C IPS 4K 15.6" Monitor it was time to delve into it. This monitor is packaged very well, nice big box that offers excellent protection. Inside you get a Monitor panel, a USB-C power adapter, and three video cables: USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C, and HDMI to mini-HDMI It comes with a protective case that attaches to the back of the display with magnets and has two slots for different angles. The connection instructions are clear enough. You can use USB or AC adapter to provide power.Depending on your setup, the USB-C to USB-C converter can be video and power alone or process in combination with a second (power) cable. It's good to have an HDMI option as it guarantees bandwidth; Turn on the monitor and use HDMI to carry out the video signal. The left side has a switch together with the power button, while the right side has the USB and HDMI ports controls. The monitor should automatically detect that it's plugged in, but sometimes this didn't work on both Windows and macOS computers. If in doubt, go to "Display Settings" and check if the USparkle monitor is showing, if the display is showing; Otherwise reboot and start over. After connecting you should see a nice bright and clear screen. I like the fact that the 450 nits (cd/m*2) screen is as bright as it is. I chose the non-touchscreen version and will be ordering a protective glass for it soon. I also noticed that when connected to the latest M1 MacBook Pro, it recognized the 4K screen setting... however the screen was set to 1080, forcing the main MacBook and Usparkle monitor to use 4K. I would prefer the monitor to honor host settings. So I've been using it a bit for the past two weeks. It is wonderful! The display is clear and sharp. Overall the color seems good, but I haven't had a chance to run the Calibrate color calibration tool with it yet. If you're looking for a good, solid secondary monitor, this Usparkle monitor is a good place to start. I've had weird instances where the connection to the host laptop was weird, but everything ended up working fine. Aside from a few minor connection issues, this is a great option!
