I've only tested the punch on a few items so far, but it made a clean hole in a thick piece of plastic and a first aid kit. The punch is solid in the hand and looks well made. There was also an illustrated guide. The head of the punch was very difficult to turn and there is an adjustment screw to make it easier to turn. However, the supplied screwdriver was totally inadequate for this task; I had to use a torque wrench. But once I loosened it, the platter turned easier. I love that it comes with gaskets and a plate in addition to the tooling. I wouldn't hate a small pack of WD40 or anything like that. The biggest issue I had is the grip area: it's advertised as being soft on the hands, but has raised hard plastic lugs that aren't very nice when you hit the shot hard. Using a glove or even a cloth between your hand and the pen will probably do the trick. In general I am satisfied with the purchase.
