While most files can be transferred wirelessly, I occasionally need one of these dongles. It works as advertised and has a USB-C cap that fits over USB-A. It doesn't get hot like other multi-function dongles. Finally, it looks like it has a pass-through connector for a micro USB cable. Maybe you could use it to charge something and read your cards at the same time. Buy it while it's on sale.
