For perspective, this isn't my first rodeo with a motive and brake bleed; I have two of their other "Black Label" baseball caps that I have used on other brands of cars for almost 20 years. In any case, this lid is supplied with two rubber seals of different thicknesses. I used the thinner one on my late GM model. However, even with the thinner seal, the cap could not be screwed completely into the tank despite a decent amount of torque. I didn't plan on forcing it because I was afraid of damaging the tank itself. The three flanged lugs on my GM tank are long, tapering to about halfway down the length. So I came to the conclusion that the cap engages the conical parts, just fails to make it a 'home' for the 'fixing' flat parts. This resulted in me putting some test pressure on it in the partially locked position and it sealed well so that's how I ended up using it. But I used the "dry" pumping method (no liquid in the pressure vessel). Be aware: Only use this method if you are familiar and familiar with brake fluid systems, including the risk of air being forced into the brake master cylinder and/or ABS unit. Bottom line, I would wish that this lid came with additional seals.
